Abstract

One of the most indispensable tools of the age is the Internet. The Internet, the use of which continues to increase over time, has changed many habits, and also plays an important role in the Deciphering and continuation of communication between people. The internet, which we have seen its impact in many areas from education to art, trade and politics, has also carried the concept of socialization to online environments and created the concept of virtual socialization. Through these sites, where mediated communication plays a role, individuals are brought together and socialized in a virtual environment Dec. Although the increasingly transfer of face-to-face communication to online environments creates an alternative for individuals experiencing a lack of time and social environment, it has now brought about an era in which emotions are also experienced over cables.

Along with technology, societies and cultures are changing with it. The social structure created in the virtual environment is constantly being rebuilt with the contributions of users. In the new world created by the Internet, almost every segment of society has become a part of the change. As a result of this change created through technology, the emergence of marriage sites, why individuals turn to these sites, how they develop an attitude towards these sites and their expectations from these sites at a time when communication and relationships take place online, have been considered worthy of research at this point. According to the results of the field research conducted with 1179 marriage site users, the main motivation of marriage site users is the search for loyalty and thinking that they will be happier.
